Student Organizing

Student Organizing Marietta

Student disorganization can be a source of stress and frustration for many students, parents or caregivers, and teachers. Some degree of disorganization is to be expected…middle schoolers and high schoolers have plenty of other things on their priority list. Their school work can suffer and only add to the unease. Disorganization can also affect their emotional well being!

How do you know if your student is disorganized? They may:

  • Come to school/class unprepared
  • Lose papers, books, pens, pencils, backpacks
  • Procrastinate
  • Mismanage time
  • Rush through assignments
  • Fail to read instructions
  • Forget to turn in assignments or turn them in late
  • Bring home the wrong folder, notebook, book
  • Seem unable to get thoughts down on paper
  • Get easily distracted
  • Have a messy desk, bookbag, locker

Many, if not most, students are never taught how to organize. I have good news…organization can be taught and is a habit that can be learned and mastered! Why not start your student’s habits early?
